About Us

Process

Most of our projects use the following process, customized to meet client requirements and needs:

Client Meeting - This initial meeting is intended to fully explore the various options available to solve the client’s need. Sometimes this is fairly straightforward in that the client may already have a design and the need is to complete construction. In other cases, the needs can be much more complex and may require multiple meetings.

Proposal or Bid – We take a comprehensive approach to project estimating and bidding, and provide our clients with multiple competitive bids for the best price available from our deep bench of strong subcontractor and material suppliers. We analyze the work that can be performed by our in-house construction professionals versus subcontractors in order to provide our clients with the best value. Our estimates are among the most detailed in the industry and provide a significant contrast to the vague, unreliable “guesstimates” that our clients tell us they receive from many of our competitors.

Contract Structure – This decision is an important part of the process and Macallan has the flexibility to accommodate our clients’ needs. Some clients prefer a cost plus approach whereas others prefer a lump sum/hard bid approach. We are very familiar with all standard construction and real estate contracts and will work to meet our clients’ objectives.

Performance – Execution is what matters most at the end of the day and we strive to meet our performance objectives as quickly as possible within the project schedule. Macallan has a reputation for being fair and providing excellent service. Our experienced project management personnel also provide critical leadership in executing projects on time and at or under budget.

Final Punch / Close Out – This is one of the toughest parts of any job and if the contractor does not finish strong, the entire job suffers. Macallan ensures that any owner concerns are addressed as quickly as possible in order to provide complete satisfaction.
